Prague: Part Two

On our second full day in Prague we decided to head to Prague Castle. It's a taxi journey away from the main city centre, but we took Ubers which were really cheap (we realised on the first day that local yellow taxis were going to try and rip us off so much if we took them).

We got an inclusive ticket for most of the sights, and wandered round at our leisure taking them in. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the inside of the cathedral as a concert was on, but I can imagine it was spectacular. Of what we did see, the architecture was beautiful, and I loved all the ornately painted ceilings.

Special mention has to go to the 'torture room' in the prison (if you're into that sort of thing!)

After more mulled wine (#sorrynotsorry) we decided to head to the old town square for the Christmas markets. We were so lucky because it was the first night they were open and they turned on the Christmas lights. It was magical, there were lights everywhere!

We then headed back to the apartment to get our gladrags on, and went out for a quick pizza before playing Articulate in the apartment. It got VERY competitive. You can't beat a good game of drinking Articulate though can you?

We then went out to a club called Radost to celebrate Kumayl's birthday. Champagne and shots all round, it was a heavy night!

The next morning we had to be up for breakfast and to leave the apartment. Went to the Cafe Savoy for a beautiful breakfast. Look at those ceilings....

We went for the English breakfast which was a little disappointing (not that you'd know that from my empty plate).

Then they brought out a cake for Kumayl's birthday. It was Black Forest gateau, and the icing was divine.

It was then, sadly, onto the airport to head back to London ready to start another week in the office. Boo. But it was an amazing weekend and I highly recommend going to Prague if you fancy a European city break!
